As restrictions ease, pubs and cafes are starting to re-open. Here are some of your options for taking a pitstop while playing Treasure Hunt Bristol!

If you’re planning to go somewhere else, the game starts at ? and finishes on King Street.

1. Left Handed Giant Brewpub

At the start of the game, before you begin

Just across the river from where Treasure Hunt Bristol starts is Left Handed Giant Brewpub. It’s housed in an amazing renovated industrial space. They serve their own beers and pizzas and have outdoor covered seating. They’re not taking reservations, just turn up. If it’s busy, you could get takeaway and have a drink in Castle Park before you begin!

2. Brewdog Bristol

15-20 minutes into the game - after clue 3

Popular with locals and visitors, this bar specialises in the Scottish brewery’s craft beers. They do food too, pizzas, salads and sides and cheese and charcuterie boards are all on offer.

The bar has lovely views over Bristol’s historic harbour.

3. The Old Duke

20-30 minutes into the game - after clue 4

This pub is world famous for it’s live traditional, New Orleans inspired Jazz music! For now, live music is off the menu, but they hope to have bands back by summer. Be warned, it’s usually pretty crowded. They’ve got outdoor seating on the cobbled street and are operating on a first come, first serve basis.

4. Broken Dock Kitchen & Bar

40-50 minutes into the game - next to clue 9

This place is in a lovely spot opposite the SS Great Britain. It’d be great on a sunny day, with lots of outdoor seating. The Fish and Chips are particularly good, but there’s plenty more on offer on their menu. Book a table to avoid disappointment!

5. Queen Square

Neither a pub, nor a cafe, but a perfect spot for a picnic!

6. Navy Volunteer

1½ - 2 hours in - at the end of game

This is a stylish pub dating all the way back to 1670! It’s got a bewildering selection of beer and ale on offer, along with locally sourced, cracking, home cooked food. They’ve installed a roof terrace (which you must book), or the entire front is kept open for walk-ins.

7. Bristol Old Vic

Bristol Old Vic have set up cabins on King Street for al fresco drinks and dining! Each cabin houses up to 6. Craft beers provided by Left Handed Giant, local ciders, coffee, tea and snacks are all available. Later on in the evening Pieminster are serving up warming pies, straight to your table. There’s several types to choose from.
