Right, let’s be honest here. Another pair of novelty socks? A “World’s Best Dad” mug that’ll gather dust? Come on, you know Dad deserves better than the usual Father’s Day tat from the shops.
This year, why not give him something he’ll actually remember? Treasure Hunt Bristol isn’t your average gift - it’s a proper adventure that’ll have you both laughing, exploring, and probably arguing over cryptic clues (in the best possible way).
“We took around 3hrs to complete it, but that included a 1hr long stop for a picnic and relax, as it was 30 degrees the day we did it!”
Picture this: Dad wielding his phone like a treasure map, muttering about “bloody pirates” while you’re both trying to work out whether that statue is pointing north or just stretching. It’s designed for grown-ups who appreciate a proper challenge - though kids 8+ can join the chaos if you fancy a full family expedition.
Captain Bess, our delightfully bossy pirate, will be barking orders, sending you on wild goose chases around Bristol’s streets. You’ll be decoding clues, following maps, and discovering bits of the city you’ve walked past a million times without really seeing.
Now, we’re not daft. We know Dad’s going to need proper refreshment breaks, especially if he’s doing all that detective work. That’s why our route sneakily weaves past some of Bristol’s finest drinking establishments.
Call it “research,” call it “cultural exploration” - we call it good planning.
There's a great picnic spot at College Green after clue 7. Also here's a list of great pubs and cafes en route.
Check out our voyage planning tips to make the most of your adventure.
Still reading this at 11pm on Saturday night? Don’t panic! Unlike every decent restaurant (which are all booked solid because everyone else left it late too), you can book a treasure hunt right up until the last minute.
Dad will never know you nearly forgot, and honestly, spontaneous adventures are often the best ones anyway.
“Really enjoyed getting our bearings around Bristol in a fun way! The pirate theme worked well and the clues made you think but weren’t too complicated”
